It has been a weird day. We got a good start and did 10 miles before lunch. We met a few more PCT hikers, even one doing a hugh part of the trail on a horse. In the afternoon we finally got to climb out of the forest and walk on the crest and see the views. We even when over a 7300 foot pass. We finishest the day with 17 PCT miles behind us, our best so far.

The mosquitos are getting worse. How we stay deeted up all the time. Also, planning now much water to carry is difficult. At the end of our hike today we filled up to 6 litters each, enough to do diner tonight and hike almost the next 20 miles.

At the end of the day a lot of smoke started blowing into the valleys. But even so, it has been a great day.
