Today was one of the most scenic on the PCT. We mainly walked the rim of Crater Lake. It was absolutely beautiful. It was a crisp cool day with few if any clouds. No smoke at all. And for some reason the boat tours were canceled, so we got to see the lake in its undisturbed state. It was wonderful.

Unfortunately, the hiking was difficult. We were carrying over 40 lbs because of the water situation. Also, the rim trail is much roughter than the normal PCT, and there were lots of ups and downs. Finally, we wantted to push it and try for 20 miles so that we can get to water tomorrow. We were tired when we finally camped.
