We pushed our drive to get to Mammoth where we expected to get to stay in a cabin (for free). We got in after over 15 hours in the car, many stops, one for sushi... We were exhausted.

At about 3:00 am, we got to our friend's cabin only to see that it was occupied. We didn't want to knock on the door so late, so we searched for the first place to stop and lie down. This is what we found. We don't think we truly camped since it was morning and all we really did was take a nap on the ground next to the car.

Its funny, but if the conditions are dry, I almost prefer sleeping outside. I had a great nap.
